You can read the post about my first week where I talk about this project and where I give a lot of resources. You can also read this page where I describe my approach, and this other page with a list of language workouts.
And you can read about week 2 here.
There’s nothing truly interesting this week. I reached my goal on Monday. I’m learning more, little by little, day after day.
Day 15 – 11/06/17
20 min – Damon and Jo, without subtitles (8 min), and Dani Russo (12 min). Goal reached! I can understand more than 75% of Dani Russo’s videos.
Day 16 – 11/07/17
30 min – Fit couch potato with Dani Russo (16 min) and Damon and Jo (14 min). **from now on, if I just write “Damon and Jo” it means “Damon and Jo without subtitles”**
Day 17 – 11/08/17
45 min – Fit couch potato with Dani Russo (30 min) and Damon and Jo (15 min).
Day 18 – 11/09/17
1h12 – Fit couch potato with Dani Russo (27 min) and Damon and Jo (45 min).
Day 19 – 11/10/17
30 min – Fit couch potato with Dani Russo.
Day 20 – 11/11/17
33 min – Fit couch potato with Dani Russo.
Day 21 – 11/12/17
Almost rest – just watched a video (Dani Russo – to’ ficando muito loco com issa menina), and listened to some Brazilian trap and rap.
Like week 1 & 2, I also did freestyle everyday: I wrote a few lines, played with the vocabulary I knew, and came up with rhymes. It never takes me more than a couple of minutes per day.
Day 15 – 20 min
Day 16 – 30 min
Day 17 – 45 min
Day 18 – 1h12
Day 19 – 30 min
Day 20 – 33 min
Day 21 – ~0 min
This is the last post about my Brazilian chronicles. I’m going to keep this pace. Watching a few videos everyday, listening to Brazilian music. And in a few weeks (or months, we’ll see!), I’ll start learning German with this same approach.
